With the wheelbase stretched a couple inches and the spare tire moved up underneath the vehicle, the 2008 Jeep Liberty gets its interior refreshed with hard plastic on the majority of the surfaces. The seats are now covered with some fairly nice perforated two-tone leather. One truly unique feature is the sliding canvas roof, which Jeep calls "Sky Slider".

General Motors has invited its five-year partner the International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) to take a sneak peek at GM's concept cars and new production vehicles at the upcoming 2007 Chicago Auto Show. More than fifty IADT fashion design students will visit General Motors' exhibit on February 9, 2007 during the first public day of the Chicago Auto Show. The theme of the show is "Runway to future Design and Technology".

General Motors has recently announced the ending of its Buick Rainier production which is only made at its truck plant on West Stroop Road. GM, through its spokeswoman Karen Johnson has assured workers that the stoppage of Rainier production will not result in layoffs or closure of the plant. "The corporation still feels very positively about the work force here in Moraine. This is strictly a marketing decision."

Winter is harsh on motorists and vehicles. To make it a bit easier for drivers to drive through cold conditions, the Automobile Club of Southern California advises motorists to take extra precautions and make sure their vehicles are prepared for cold weather.
